Why Getting Your Ring Size Right Matters

Ordering a ring online is exciting — but receiving one that doesn't fit is frustrating. Whether you're buying for yourself or as a gift, knowing your exact ring size before you order saves time, cost, and disappointment. The good news? You can measure your ring size accurately at home in just a few minutes.

Method 1: The String or Paper Strip Method

This is the most reliable DIY method and works for any finger.

Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string about 10 cm long.
Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you want to measure — not too tight, not too loose.
Mark where the strip overlaps with a pen.
Lay the strip flat and measure the length in millimetres from the end to your mark. This is your finger's circumference.

Method 2: Measure an Existing Ring

Already own a ring that fits perfectly? This is the easiest method.

Place the ring on a flat surface.
Measure the inner diameter (inside edge to inside edge) in millimetres.
Match the diameter to the chart below to find your size.

Tips for an Accurate Measurement

Measure at the end of the day — fingers are slightly larger in the evening due to warmth and activity.
Avoid measuring when cold — fingers shrink in cold temperatures.
Measure the correct finger — your right and left hand may differ in size.
For wide bands — go half a size up, as wider rings fit more snugly.
Measure 2–3 times for consistency.

Toe Ring Sizing

Toe rings are sized differently since toes are generally narrower. Use the same string method but measure the toe you plan to wear it on. Most toe rings are adjustable, but if you're ordering a fixed-size toe ring, take a careful measurement first.
